Origami Exhibition : “La nature et la vie” at Toulouse

The local section of Toulouse is happy to offer, from january 6th to 29th, at “Centre d’animation Soupetard”, an exhibition of its origamis.

The paper artists want to pay tribute to the nature’s beauty. Each year, new origami models that mimic animals and landscapes of our planet emerge. Simple, ingenious or funny and sometimes virtuoso, these creations quietly live in our daily life.
The books are easier and easier to find and new origami enthustiasts starts to fold.
Feel free to come to discover the numerous variations around the theme of the bird, the flower and many other living creatures from all countries.

Exhibition “Zoorigami” in Melun by Gerard Ty Sovann

Exposition Gérard Ty Sovann à Melun

The French origami artist Gérard Ty Sovann exhibits his paper animals during the exhibition named “Zoorigami” at Espace St-Jean (26 place St-Jean) in Melun (77) from Tuesday to Saturday from 1PM to 6PM until January 19th, 2020 with free admission.

On Sunday December 15th, the artist will be at médiathèque Astrolabe for a public workshop.

The MFPP now welcomes you on Wednesdays

Since September, the association’s office is now open to all its members every Wednesday from 2PM to 5PM.
This new opening time mainly focuses on reading diagrams and is managed by Raymonde Bonnefille.

This meeting aims both beginners and people who like complex folds and has a twofold organization :

  • From 2PM to 4PM : folding from a diagram. It’s the opportunity to release some of the thousands books of the orithèque from their slumber.
  • From 4PM to 5MP : folding “altogether“ a common model that has been discovered and folded by one of the participants.

To participate, it is mandatory to have your membership up to date and minors must be accompanied by an adult.
